This blog might not be relevant to what I usually write about (mostly Data and AI-related topics), but I’ve wanted to write this one for a long time. I used to be active on LinkedIn in 2023, where I shared rants and updates, but times change. Slowly, I started disappearing, and then things began to change a bit.

For those who don’t know me, this is Shresth Shukla. I joined EY as an Analyst in mid-2023, around August. Before that, I worked in content writing (both tech and non-tech) for almost two years. Not a huge achievement, I completely agree, but perhaps a good start after college. It’s said that in a job, you either learn or you earn. I guess I learned a lot, haha.

First 6 Months

I’ll be very honest about my experience, and I believe those who have been there will agree with it. This was the phase when no one noticed us. People call it the ‘honeymoon’ period for freshers. We were a group of friends sitting in the corner of the office, given some training sessions, and just randomly wandering around with cups of coffee in our hands. Some people didn’t even come to the office.
